Red and White, the Oldest Pairing

Before color theory, there was red and white. In China the combination turns up in porcelain, in painted beams, in the bracelet a grandmother hands down — warm red against pale stone, one holding heat, one holding calm.

This is that pairing at its simplest: natural Hetian jade in a milky celadon tone, spaced with red agate, strung on elastic so it goes on without a clasp.

What You Get

  • Weight :50g

Two Options

Jade + Red Agate — the classic pairing, warmer and a little bolder. The red reads from across a room.

Jade + Amber-Tone — softer, closer to honey than to red. These are amber-tone beads, a warm translucent composite, not natural amber — they cost less and wear harder.

Materials, Plainly Stated

The jade is natural Hetian nephrite. The agate is natural red agate, colour stable, no dye.

The cord is multi-strand elastic. It is a wear item, not a permanent one: two to three years of daily wear is normal for this kind of bracelet. When it gives, any jeweler can restring it for a few dollars

How to Wear

  1. Alone on a bare wrist — the red does the talking.

  2. Stacked with a watch or a silver band, it becomes the warm note in a cool stack.

  3. Roll it on rather than stretching it wide; elastic ages from the stretch, not the wearing.

Care

Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Keep it out of the shower and away from perfume — not because the stone minds, but because elastic does. Jade dislikes knocks more than water.

A Note on Natural Stone

Jade is graded by nature. Some beads run cooler, some milkier, one or two may carry a fine white cloud — the signature of real stone, not a defect. Two bracelets from the same batch will not be twins.
