Bracelet
Green Sandalwood Bead Bracelet — Naturally Scented Wood, Elastic Strand
$39.00
Cut, this wood is brown. Worn, it turns green — light does that to green sandalwood, over weeks, until the beads settle into a deep olive-jade. It also smells faintly of vanilla, and keeps smelling that way for years. 8 mm/6mm on elastic.

The Wood That Greens in Daylight
Green sandalwood is not green when it is cut. Fresh from the saw it is brown — unremarkable, a little dull. Then light reaches it. Over the first weeks of wear the color shifts through olive, then settles into a deep, slightly translucent green that looks less like paint and more like moss on stone.
Nothing is dyed, and nothing is applied. The change is the wood's own chemistry responding to air and light, which is why two bracelets worn by two people will not end up the same color.

The Scent, Honestly
Green sandalwood carries its own scent — sweet, resinous, closer to vanilla and cut grass than to the incense sticks you may be picturing. It is strongest when new and when the beads warm against your wrist.
It fades. That is what wood does. Keep the bracelet in a closed box when you are not wearing it, and the scent will still be there in a year; leave it on a sunny windowsill and it will be gone by spring. If it fades, a light rub with a dry cloth brings a little back. We mention this because no natural wood stays loud forever, and the bracelet is worth having anyway.
Materials, Plainly Stated
The wood is green sandalwood (Bulnesia sarmientoi), also sold as Verawood — a dense South American hardwood, not a true santalum. It is heavy for its size, sinks in water, and takes a polish without any finish applied. No dye, no wax, no fragrance oil.
How to Wear
Alone, the green does all the work — it reads almost black indoors and turns olive in daylight, which is the small daily surprise of owning it.
Stacked with silver, it cools the metal; stacked with leather, it warms up.
Roll it on rather than stretching it wide — elastic ages from the stretch, not the wearing.
Care
Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Keep it out of the shower and away from perfume and lotion — wood drinks what you put on your skin, and it will hold the smell of hand cream long after you stop using it. If the surface ever feels dry, a drop of clear oil worked in with a fingertip and buffed off is the whole treatment.
A Note on Natural Wood
Grain, density, and the exact shade of green vary from piece to piece and darken with wear — some beads will be nearly black, some olive, a few may carry a fine pale line where the grain turns. That is a real wood bracelet. A perfectly uniform one is painted.
